When one of our much anticipated litters arrives, placements are done with most of the "interviewing" taking place over the phone or in person.  I prefer not take applications via Internet or mail. However, contacting me via E-mail is always a great way to get in touch with me as I prefer not to publish my phone number here.

For those of you who might like to meet Havanese breeders - or for those who may have never meet a Havanese in person,  attending a dog show is a great place to do just that - in fact it's a great place to see all kinds of dogs - Havanese as well as more than 150+ breeds.
So, if I don't have exactly what your looking for, I'm always willing to help those genuinely interested in the breed locate a puppy thru other breeders.  Also, the Havanese Club of America supports a rescue system for displaced Havanese - so if adopting a rescue dog is something you might like to consider - I'd be more than happy to do what I can to help you with this process as well.
Breeding from our "Show Pets" limits the number of dogs we can comfortably accommodate and maintain - and their care and well being is of utmost importance.  The Havanese is a companion breed - having always been breed for the companionship of it's people - so our time and attention is our most precious gift back to them.  This is not a breed that would be happy home alone all day. Having another dog that they can hang out with will help if you have to be gone for hours at a time, but if lead a really busy lifestyle, where you are gone from home a good deal of the time, then I would have to say that I think you should consider a more independent breed.
I have found that one of my greatest rewards in being a breeder is in following up with my puppies - and their people - hearing about all of the wonderful and silly little things that they have done, and all of the tales of simple joy they have brought to their new families.  And getting pictures in the mail ... pictures always make my day!

A Bit More About Us...
It is the responsibility of every breeder to find the right pup for you - and vice versa - after all, this could be a relationship that last 14 to 16 years.  Know what you want and what is important to you and then settle for nothing less.  If you truly just want a dog to love that's okay too, but you need to be honest with yourself and the breeder as to what it is you are looking for in a companion.  The Havanese is still a very healthy breed - with a delightful temperament to match - and it is all of our responsibilities to keep them that way.
